First Call for Papers

2026 Far East NDT New Technology Forum

The 2026 Far East NDT New Technology Forum will be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province in late June 2026. We are now sincerely call for academic/technical papers or reports from domestic and international experts, scholars, researchers, and technical personnel specialized in non-destructive testing and evaluation. The relevant details are as follows:

I. Partner Journals

The partner journals of this Forum are listed in detail as follows:

• The journal of Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation publishes English papers.

• The Journal of Computer Measurement & Control publishes Chinese papers.

• The Journal of Mechanical Engineering publishes Chinese papers.
• The journal of CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology publishes English papers. .
• The Journal of Chongqing University of Technology publishes Chinese papers.

Note: The papers recommended by the Forum will be given priority for publication or acceptance in the same year after peer review in the above partner journals.

• Fundamental research on non-destructive testing.
• Research on the application technology of non-destructive testing.
• Practical application cases of non-destructive testing (including failure analysis).
• Design and development of non-destructive testing instruments and equipment.
• Automation and intelligent technology of non-destructive testing.
• Regulations and standards of non-destructive testing.
• Training, education, qualification assessment, and certification of non-destructive testing.
• Safety and reliability of non-destructive testing.
• Non-destructive evaluation of material properties and structural health monitoring.
• Other technologies related to non-destructive testing.

III. Presentation Formats

• Oral presentation.
• Poster presentation with brief oral introductions.

Note: authors can indicate their preferred communication mode when submitting abstracts, but the decision on which mode to adopt will be made by the heads of the respective sessions and sub-sessions.

The 2026 Forum will classify the received papers and arrange them in the following sub-venues or special sessions:

V. Notes for Submitting Papers

Domestic authors can submit their papers through the Far East Submission system (please click on “Paper Submission” on the right side of http:// www.fendtc.com). The main text of the submitted paper can be in either Chinese or English, and the corresponding template can be found in the attachment or on the submission page.

• When submitting an English paper, one can choose the journal that you wish to be recommended for publication, including CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation, Structural Durability and Health Monitoring, and IEEE proceedings.
• When submitting a Chinese paper, one can choose other journals other than those mentioned above that you wish to be recommended for publication, including Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Journal of Chongqing University of Technology, Infrared Technology, Safety Technology of Special Equipment, and Chinese Railways.
• The writing requirements of the submitted paper should be consistent with the journal that you wish to be recommended for publication, and the format should follow the template in the attachment.

VI. Forum Proceedings

• IEEE Proceedings: The submitted papers must be written in English. For detailed requirements, please refer to Attachment 2 or the English website. Papers that pass full-text peer review will be included in the IEEE Proceedings and submitted for EI indexing.
• Non-IEEE Proceedings: The submitted papers can be written in either Chinese or English.

VII. Paper Awards

All authors of papers must attend the Forum (Note, the papers need to be associated with the submission account and payment made) and present their work. Only these papers will be officially accepted by the Forum and may be eligible for the following awards:

• “Matrix Technology Chinese Paper Award” (For non-student authors): One grand prize winner with a prize of ¥8,000, two first-prize winners with a prize of ¥5,000/each, four second-prize winners with a prize of ¥3,000/each, eight third-prize winners a prize of ¥1,000/each.
• “Fa Yi Outstanding English Paper Award” (For foreign authors): One grand prize winner with a prize of ¥8,000, two first-prize winners with a prize of ¥5,000/each, four second-prize winners with a prize of ¥3,000/each.
• “Zhongke Innovation Outstanding English Paper Award” (For chinese non-student authors): One grand prize winner with a prize of ¥8,000, two first-prize winners with a prize of ¥5,000/each, four second-prize winners with a prize of ¥3,000/each, eight third-prize winners a prize of ¥1,000/each.
• “Leading Outstanding Student Paper Award” (For chinese student authors): Chinese papers - one first-prize winners with a prize of ¥3,000, three second-prize winners with a prize of ¥1,500/each, six third-prize winners with a prize of ¥1,000/each. English papers - one first-prize winners with a prize of ¥5,000, three second-prize winners with a prize of ¥2,000/each, six third-prize winners with a prize of ¥1,500/each.
• Poster presentations with brief oral introductions, and among which only 30% will be awarded the On-site Presentation Outstanding Award, along with a certificate and a cash prize of ¥200.

Note, all authors can only participate in the paper award selection as the first author and the report award selection as the presenter.

VIII. Important Dates

• Open time for abstract and full paper submission on January 28, 2026.
• Deadline for abstract submission (and oral presentation) is April 30, 2026.
• Deadline for English paper submission is April 30, 2026.
• Deadline for Chinese paper submission is April 5, 2026.
• Forum dates are scheduled for the last ten-day period of June, 2026.

IX. Other Requirements

• Authors should ensure that the content of the submitted paper is original and has not been (formally) published elsewhere, and there is no academic misconduct. Upon the formal acceptance of the submitted paper, the author grants the forum the right to reproduce and incorporate the paper into the internal proceedings, and further distribute the proceedings in paper, digital and other forms during the forum and related activities. Note that this proceeding is an internal one without a serial number and is only used for academic exchanges. The forum will recommend outstanding papers for publication in the above partner journals and also allows authors to submit them to other journals.
• The submitted papers that are hoped to be recommended to Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation, and Structural Durability and Health Monitoring should generally exceed 11 pages. The submitted papers that are hoped to be recommended to Journal of Mechanical Engineering should generally exceed 7 pages, while other papers should be limited to a range of 4000-6000 words (including figures and tables). Furthermore, all citations and references must indicate the source. Among them, there should be no less than 12 references, and more than 30% should be from high-level journals within the last 3 to 5 years (including the proceedings of the Far East NDT New Technology Forum). Please submit the electronic manuscript in Word format, typeset on A4 paper. For detailed format, please refer to the Chinese paper template (see attachment).
• The following content should be provided in both Chinese and English version: paper title; author(s) and affiliation(s); abstract (200-500 words); keywords.
• Please provide the detailed information of the first author and corresponding author along with the manuscript: name, year of birth, gender, professional title (or academic degree), field of expertise, and email address.
