2026 Far East NDT New Technology Forum
The 2026 Far East NDT New Technology (FENDT) Forum will be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province from June 22 to 25, 2026. We are now sincerely call for academic/technical papers or reports from domestic and international experts, scholars, researchers, and technical personnel specialized in non-destructive testing and evaluation. The relevant details are as follows:

Note: authors can indicate their preferred communication mode when submitting abstracts, but the decision on which mode to adopt will be made by the heads of the respective sessions and sub-sessions.
- Paper Awards
To encourage academic innovation, the forum sets up multiple paper awards. Winning papers must be officially accepted by the forum, and at least one author must register for the forum and complete the presentation (oral or poster). The specific awards are as follows:
- “Leading Outstanding Student English Paper Award” (for Chinese student authors): 1 first prize (5,000 RMB), 3 second prizes (2,000 RMB each), 6 third prizes (1,500 RMB each).
- “Fayi Outstanding English Paper Award” (for foreign authors): 1 special prize (8,000 RMB), 2 first prizes (5,000 RMB each), 4 second prizes (3,000 RMB each).
- “Zhongke Chuangxin Outstanding English Paper Award” (for Chinese non-student authors): 1 special prize (8,000 RMB), 2 first prizes (5,000 RMB each), 4 second prizes (3,000 RMB each), 8 third prizes (1,000 RMB each).
- Excellent On-Site Presentation Award: 30% of poster presentations (including brief oral introductions) will be awarded certificates and 200 RMB cash prizes.
Note: Paper awards are selected based on the first author's identity, and presentation awards are selected based on the presenter's identity.
- Important Dates
- Open time for abstract and full paper submission on February 1, 2026.
- Deadline for abstract submission (and oral presentation) is May 20, 2026.
- Deadline for English paper submission is May 20, 2026.
- Deadline for Chinese paper submission is May 20, 2026.
- The conference will be held from June 22 to 25, 2026.
- Submission Requirements
i. Originality Requirement
The content of the submitted paper is original and has not been (formally) published elsewhere, and there is no academic misconduct. Upon the formal acceptance of the submitted paper, the author grants the forum the right to reproduce and incorporate the paper into the internal proceedings, and further distribute the proceedings in paper, digital and other forms during the forum and related activities. Note that this proceeding is an internal one without a serial number and is only used for academic exchanges. The forum will recommend outstanding papers for publication in the above partner journals and also allows authors to submit them to other journals.
ii. Format Requirements
- Length: Papers intended to be recommended to CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation, and Structural Durability and Health Monitoring shall be no less than 11 pages. Papers intended to be recommended to IEEE Proceedings shall be no less than 7 pages.
- References: No less than 12 references, of which more than 30% are high-level journal literatures in the past 3-5 years (including IEEE FENDT Forum Proceedings), and all citations must indicate the source.
- Submission Format: A4 paper layout, Word format electronic manuscript. For specific formats, refer to the paper template in the download area of the FENDT submission system.
iii. Author Information Requirements
Detailed information of the first author and corresponding author must be submitted with the paper: name, date of birth, gender, title (or academic degree), research field, and email address.
